Just wanted to let all know that I have a few nice instruments (or Didjeridoos, yirdaki, Didjeridus, yiggy-yiggy Didgeridoos, didjes, didgeridoos, or whatever you wanna call them) that I have recently completed.
They are in C, C# and D.
Give me a day and check the website.

Horrifying for some of us but I think this is pretty cool.
This guy built some modules on his didge to do some pretty cool, real-time, sound processing.
Check out the video and story

As most of you probably know the name Didgeridoo is not the original name for the instrument. There are quite some theories about the origin of the name.
An Irish PhD student did
research on this and came up with the theory that the name probably finds it's origin in the Irish language; duíd or dúdaire.
Indigenous Australians however have more then 45 different names for the instrument.
A list of some of…

To liven up the dull moments of living on the Antarctic ice, ANSMET scientists and engineers built a didgeridoo out of H2O and butter! Instead of the usual game of “counting the number of grains in a teaspoon of snow,” ANSMET (Antarctic Search for Meteorites) pursued the mission of building a didgeridoo.

Hi mates,
I've sent an email to each member about my new idea: I want to create a
compilation CD with music of many WDN members from all over the planet!
Many members asked me now about the costs, if they still have their performance rights, ... That's why I'll tell you something about the project.
I made contact with Michael Nasswetter, the boss of the new music label "
nasswetter music group" from Munich/ Germany. The "nasswetter music group" is a label for world music, jazz, g…

Hey mates,
The WDN Shop is online now. You can buy t-shirts and jackets with different designs - e.g. the WDN logo or the Aboriginal flag!
Here's the link:
http://didgeridoo.ning.com/page/wdn-shop
In June we'll add women's t-shirts and other items! But all men's t-shirts are online now!
We'll get a little percentage of the price that we want to use to extend the WDN!
Hope that some of you will buy some t-shirts. The first one who buys 5 or more…

>>> WDN T-SHIRT SHOP <<<
At the moment I'm creating two shops for WDN - one for Europe and some other countries (currency: EUR) and one for the USA and other countries (currency: USD). As European you can also buy items from the American shop, but the shipping costs (and maybe the duty) is expensive. I try to offer similar items in the both shops.
The t-shirts (later there may also be jackets, pins, pullovers and so on ..) are produced by Spreadshirt and we'll get a sm…
